Welcome

There have been many challenging times in our history whether we were battling the great depression of the 30's, the great world wars, the cold war or now the war with the "great resetting," those who believed that the future held brighter things as a result of struggle succeeded then and will succeed today.

Rotary is my personal and hopefully your personal respite of hope, joy and fellowship with like minded, can-do thinkers. As Rotarians we are called to focus on what we want to do, what we must do and what is possible.

We as Rotarians exemplify that success is measured in small steps and when many people move together in the same direction that equals MANY small steps to create powerful outcomes.

With hope and commitment in my heart I know we can enliven our mission as Reno South Rotarians to live our community programs to support youth; Most Improved Student, Anderson School, Robinhood Park, RYLA and RYE. I know we will enjoy each other's company as we engage in our favorite RSR social and working events such as parking at the Balloon Races or sampling wines on the Wine Tour or cheering for the Wolf Pack after the Tailgate Party

Finally, I know we can achieve our Rotary International goals regarding support to achieve our "match" to the Gates Foundation Polio Plus contribution and RSR's very own international project, Pens for Peace. I believe we can increase membership and attendance even in times when absence and apathy are a convenient but un-Rotarian-like response.

Together and through your good input and council we can live this year's theme, The Future of (Reno South) Rotary is in Your Hands...if not ours...whose?

Together let's make this a great RSR year.

LaVonne

The Future of Rotary is in yOUR Hands!
