Reno/Tahoe is one of the great places to live and play.  There are so many activities and things to do that you will never run out of things to do.  Both winter and summer there are and amazing number of activities and things to do from the Reno Rodeo to the National Championship Air Races.  Here are some pictures and just a few of the many activities to do in Reno, The Biggest Little City in the World

Fishing, Water Skiing, Camping, Arts and Culture, Reno has is all. The Truckee River Water Kayak Park in the center of downtown Reno is an adventure all by itself.  There are 11  drp pools and over 2,600 feet of great runs.  The Reno River Festival hosts one of the most competitive events held in early May attracts many of the worlds top  whitewater atheletes.

The best source of all the activities in Reno-Tahoe can be found all in one place at this Reno-Tahoe website.  Here are just a few of the highlights of activities in Reno-Tahoe

Spring and early summer bring the Reno Rodeo, the Wildest, Richest Rodeo in the West. This is a ten day event and a Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association sanctioned event.  Over 120,000 fans attend the nationally televised event.  It is a great kick off for the summer in Reno.

The summer activities are non-stop from early May to October.  Reno is Art Town with the largest art celebration in the world.  Lasting for all of the month of July, there are over 300 art events during the month.  In the last two years alone we have witness Mikhail Barishnikov dance, Herbie Hancock and Wynton Marsalus perform, the Harlem Gospel Choir, Mandy Patinkin, Ringo Starr and the Hubbard Street Dance Group from Chicago perform.  You can literally come and stay for an entire month.

Two weeks of Hot August Nights is the worlds largest collection of vintage automobiles, where over 800,000 people decend on Reno for a chance to relive the 50' and 60's in a blast from the past that is all about 'happy days", car auctions and a Big Boy's Toy Store.  The event is over subscribe for classic cars every year, and hotel space can be hard to find, so get your reservations in early.

The Great Reno Ballon Races are your best bet for the Labor Day Weekend. Reno South Rotary raises money for its projects by handling the parking for over 140,000 spectators. The Great Reno Balloon Race is the largest free hot air ballooning event in the Nation.  Several of our members sponsor a balloon each year and volunteers are welcome to launch the balloons as well as help with the event.

Welcome to the home of the Reno National Championship Air Races, the only place in the World where you can see five days of REAL AIR RACING by six classes of aircraft up close and personal. The Air Races have been run since 1964 near Reno, Nevada, USA, and are currently held at Reno Stead Field, about eight miles North of Reno. Reno South Rotary provides parking services and  vendo assistance.

Just as all the classic cars exit Reno, Street Vibrations, the Motorcycle crowd, comes to town in the largest gathering of bikes and bikers, west of Sturgis.  Custom Bike Builders Expo, the Virginia City Ride, tours, stunt shows and more.  It is a bikers' paradise.  Portions of the proceeds benefit the Junior Diabetes Association, so it is a serious event to help the kids.

Outdoor activities are the heart and soul of Reno-Tahoe.  Reno-Tahoe boasts the highest concentration of ski and snowboard resorts in North America. Within an hour of Reno you'll find 18 alpine resorts and a dozen beautifully groomed cross-country ski areas. Our summit elevations range from 7,350 to 10,100 feet. That just about guarantees us 20-foot snow packs and ski seasons that can last from November until the Fourth of July!

In Reno-Tahoe you could very possibly play the best golf game of your life! At our altitude, golf balls automatically fly 10 percent farther. Your drive will amaze you. And with over 50 courses within 90 minutes of Reno, there's a course for every level of play including Montreux Golf Club, home of the PGA stop, the Legends Reno-Tahoe Open.

Reno is a small town with gambling.  Unlike Las Vegas, you are not overwhelmed with casinos and shows.  We still get all the top acts, but they are here for shorter periods and at much reduced prices.   Check out the beautiful night time skyline of Reno and all the casinos
